Full Circle Organic Medium Salsa
I picked up Full Circle's Organic Medium Salsa at my local grocery store and served it to house guests this weekend. I love salsa (and Mexican food in general) and am always on the lookout for new stuff to try. This was a hit. Not the best salsa I've ever had, but better than the average brand. The medium variety has a definite spicy cumin-and-jalapeno fueled kick--more so than most "mediums." The consistency was nice and chunky. All the better for balancing on my Garden of Eatin' Red Hot Blues chips. Yum!
About Full Circle: This is another one of those weird companies that's part of some larger corporate entities; in this case, a food procurement company called Topco. Consequently Full Circle has a bland, shallow corporate site that doesn't give you a whole lot of information about where the stuff actually comes from. I did notice that the salsa is certified organic by Vermont Organic Farmers in Richmond, Vermont, which was somewhat of a funny coincidence because my visiting guests were from the same town.
Full Circle Organic Medium Salsa Ingredients: Organic diced tomatoes, organic crushed tomatoes, organic onions, organic garlic, organic jalapeno peppers, organic cilantro, lime juice, organic cider vinegar, sea salt, organic black pepper, organic cumin.

That may be true, but Full Circle still, by US law, can't add GM ingredients to their food that's labeled/certified organic. I have looked at most of their stuff and have not found any questionable ingredients. Could you please give an example and provide the source of your information? Thanks.
Actually, that's not true. Full Circle is not "now owned" by Spartan Foods. Full Circles products are CARRIED by Spartan stores, as are other Topco private label brands (such as Top Care), but Spartan does not own Topco: they BUY products from Topco.
As for their "no longer being organic," given that the first part of that first comment was 100% false, I wouldn't put too much stock in the second part either. You rightly asked for the source of this information, and so foar none has been given. I suspect that's because no credible source exists.
