Brewing beer at home then why not go organic. Sure they cost a bit more, but because organic malts have less protein you'll get a clearer beer. You can also get a faster fermentation and there's a variety of sites including Brew Organic that can get you started.

so theres a really cool green event coming up at the village pourhouse. There will be organic foods, organic drinks, guest speakers and more. If you buy a $25 ticket to the event (where you’ll get two beers and food, among other goodies), we’ll give you a bracelet for one free drink as part of the Organic Challenge. The Organic Challenge is basically a contest to see who can drink all of our earth friendly new booze in the shortest amount of time. The winner gets a $50 bar tab. The list of drinks includes six beers, a vodka and a chardonnay.
