Smells Like Teen Spirit - Send Help!

Can anyone recommend an effective natural deodorant? I'd like to switch from my current anti-perspirant, which contains aluminum, to something aluminum-free. But I don't want to smell like a monkey. Or sweaty gym socks.

According to Amazon, best-selling natural deodorants include Thai Crystal's Rock Salt deodorant stone, and selections from Tom's of Maine, Nature's Gate, and Avalon Organics. Does anyone have experience with any of these products? Are there other natural deodorants you'd recommend? Send 'em in, and I'll post comments and reviews.

I found a great smelling and effective natural teen deodorant. My kids love it, the packaging is a little edgy but the ingredients and product is very good. They are Varsity Naturals you can find them at http://www.toothpasteforkids.com/

Weleda sells a wonderful line of deodorants, in a Rose scent and a Sage scent. I have been using it for years and it's great! I Just got my 10 year old son the sage one. They are liquid and a spray, but a little goes a long way!
I have tried everything on the market, and I really like the Weleda the best!
Good luck!

I found that some of the natural deodorants can actually make you smell worse - depending on your body chemistry. I have been using natural deodorants since - well since I started wearing deodorant! As an actor, you have to been in close quarters with people all the time and these two are the only ones that seem to defy the "smell" test.
(1) Desert Essence (http://www.desertessence.com) has a Tea Tree & Lavender stick deodorant that even holds up to the gym (and Caribbean Heat). Has a good herbal/clean smell even when you sweat.

(2) Addidas (yes the sneaker company!) has recently come out with a patented new technology that uses cotton fibers instead of Aluminum as an anti-perspirant and you can easily get it in a regular drugstore.
